BMGT 1040 PMP Exam Prep (36.0 hours/$699.00)

This course is a PMBOK-oriented exam review course, emphasizing PMBOK knowledge only, structured around the 9 knowledge areas of the PMBOK, and focused on exactly what is necessary to pass the exam.

The course will start off with an overview of the PMP Exam including how to apply, eligibility criteria, and scheduling the actual test. The class will then focus on definitions and formulas in addition to addressing all the processes and knowledge areas covered on the exam.

Practice questions from each section and exam strategies will be covered as well. Considerable practice and preparation outside of the class is necessary to successfully pass the PMP exam.

This course is strictly PMI examination preparation. Students should see www.pmi.org for the PMIr; examination requirements.

Prerequisites: BMGT 1023-IT Project Management, a process-oriented PM course or equivalent. Students who are uncertain about their preparedness for the PMP Exam Prep course can take a self evaludation test provided by ACC. See coordinator for details.

Books are purchased separately from the Rio Grande Campus bookstore, 512.474.2607. Each class requires a book.
